The CWHBA is pleased to announce the 5th annual Online Foal Auction!
The Online Foal Auction is a hybrid between the traditional auction format and an electronic bidding environment. It provides potential buyers with direct and easy access to a geographically vast market place where they can assess, bid on and purchase registered Warmblood foals. The online auction format ensures secure and verifiable bidder registration, extremely fast updates, automatic bidder notification and proxy bidding. It is also able to handle a large amount of volume and activity. Consignors and their entries will be from across Canada, whereas buyers may be from any location, globally. All viewing of the foals will be done online, although independent arrangements can be made directly with the consignor. Bidding is to be done in Canadian funds. All foals will remain at their home locations until transactions are complete.
We are now accepting applications for consigners and purchasers for the 2009 Online Foal Auction.
The Online Foal Auction also offers advertising for farms and businesses. As the auction receives traffic from all over the globe, your company will gain maximum exposure. Banner ads are available for purchase through the auction website.

Dates to note for the Online Foal Auction
- Sept 1 - Online auction open for consignors to enter their foals for sale and prospective buyers to register as bidders. Buyers can continue to register until Auction closes.
- Oct 18 - Closing of entries for foals and broodmares
- Oct 19 - Open for bidding
- Nov 1 - Closing Bids
