Nominations
- Horse must be born in the year of the sale – birth date must be stated.
- A weaning date must be established and included in the application. We will recommend a minimum weaning date of 4 months, with an absolute minimum of 3 months. Those requiring 3 months or less must provide an explanation (i.e. orphan, veterinarian recommended) which will be reviewed and considered on an individual basis.
- It will be recommended that there be a minimum of two weeks between weaning and shipping of the foal to the successful bidder.
- All sale horses must have current vaccinations and shots.
- Transfer of ownership papers must be submitted to CWHBA, who will facilitate the release of the papers upon settlement of sale.
- All foal applications will be reviewed by the selection committee ensure the foal is eligible for the sale and that the images provided meet the standard required to market your foal effectively.
- Horses are to be presented in show quality turnout for photographic and video representations, and this will be strictly enforced.
- All information and representations are the sole responsibility, and made on behalf of, the seller.
- The seller warrants that each horse consigned to the sale is free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
- Consignors will be limited to three horses if the sale is oversubscribed. This limit will be waived if the sale is undersubscribed.
- The consignment fee for each horse is $200 for horses registered with Canadian Warmblood. This is a nonrefundable fee for any reason.
- There will be no commission fee for foals bought back by the consignor.
- The auction committee reserves the right to refuse or withdraw any horse from the sale without refund or liability to anyone
